Thomas (Tom) McAnany

He was born to George and Mary McAnany July 29, 1933 in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Vista High School and earned his Fire Fighter Certification at Palomar Junior College. He was a talented athlete who loved playing sports.Tom was a United States Air Force veteran and was known as “Mac” during his career as a fireman and captain for the City of Vista Fire Department for 26 years. After relocating to Idaho in 1990, he also worked for the City of Boise and Brasher’s Idaho Auto Auction.He was a kind man of many talents. A few of which were racing and rebuilding cars and giving a caring home to dozens of homeless animals over the years. Tom was a devoted husband of 64 years and is survived by his wife, Eva, 3 daughters, Donna Kristensen, Linda Corbus and Sheryl Bellemare and son in law Lee Bellemare. 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.Tom will be greatly missed!A private ceremony will be held at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery – Boise.Those who wish to express sympathy are asked to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
