Susanne W. Earl

Susanne W. Earl

June 26, 1939 – February 21, 2018

Susan Walker Earl died of natural causes in her home on February 21, 2018.  She was 78 years old.

Susan was raised in Grosse Pointe Michigan amidst the peak of America’s automotive glory.  She emerged as an independent debutante who wanted to experience the world.  Educated at the Brillantmont school in Lausanne, Switzerland and having lived in Northern Italy for 3 years, Susan returned to the states on her next adventure.  She was a cosmopolitan New Yorker in the early 1960’s and immersed herself in the art and fashion of that era.  She owned an art gallery in Soho, sold jewelry for Cartier, safaried in Africa and raised a son.  Susan then returned to school to further her education in the 90’s and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a double major in psychology and art.   In her later years, she moved to Boise, Idaho to be closer to her son and his family. While in Boise she enjoyed dining out, dancing, volunteering and spending as much time with her family as she could.

An avid artist till the end.

A flourish of color followed everywhere she went.

An example of class and style at all times.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents William Orville Earl and Evelyn Chism Earl as well as her older brother Franklin Carl Earl.  She is survived by her only son Wiley Mitchell Earl, her granddaughters Reine Cheyenne Earl, Skyler Elizabeth Earl, Felicia Eden Earl, her brothers Stephen Earl, Chip Earl and her nieces Jennifer, Liza & Carrie.

Services will be held March 11, 2018.  Worship and prayer at 10:30 am – Riverwind Fellowship 10220 W. State Street.  Memorial service at 12:00 pm – Bella Vida Funeral Home 9661 W. Chinden Boulevard.
