RaeDean Daniels

–

Boise, Idaho

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of RaeDean (Wise) Daniels, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, who passed away at St. Luke’s hospital in Boise, Idaho, peacefully and pain-free, surrounded by family while we held her hands and said goodbye.

Born on March 10th, 1953, in Council, Idaho to Lewis James Daniels & Pearl Alice (Kilborn) Daniels, she was the third of four children. The family moved around the Pacific Northwest, living throughout Alaska, Idaho, and Washington. In 1971, she graduated from Federal Way High School in Washington and went on to study Psychology at Eastern Washington University.

In 1975, she married Rick Wise and gave birth to her first daughter, Christy in Portland, Oregon. In 1978 the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska where the following year she gave birth to her second daughter, Cindy. In 1987 they landed in Redmond, Washington after a year in Pocatello, Idaho. After partially retiring, she moved to Spokane, Washington, and in 2017 made her final move to Boise, Idaho.

She was extremely dedicated to her decades-long career as a successful Apartment Property Manager and was highly regarded by her peers, winning multiple awards for her service.

She was an amazing baker and spent her free time doing crafts of all kinds but was mostly known by adults for her vast sewing skills and loved by children for her baby quilts. She loved watching movies & TV shows, but thrived when throwing happy hours, games nights, or get togethers of any kind where she supplied an abundance of appetizers, snacks, and candy. She enjoyed taking care of others and effortlessly made everyone feel included, special, and loved. She created fun wherever she went and was loved by all that knew her.

RaeDean was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Barbara Smith. She is survived by her daughters; Christy Wise and Cindy Wise, their husbands, Jeremy Holmes and Nick Henning, her step grandchild; Elliot Phoenix, and her siblings; Jerry Daniels and Nancy Daniels, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friend’s children that she considered her honorary grandchildren.

Her favorite day was her birthday and would often stretch the celebration for the full month of March. In that spirit, a Celebration of Life will be held on the eve of her birthday, March 9th at McMenamin’s Anderson School in Haynes Hall. 18607 Bothell Way NE, Bothell, WA 98011 starting at 6:00pm.

For those that would like to stay the night at Anderson School, we have a group of rooms set aside under the name of: RaeDean Celebration of Life. There are also multiple hotels located close to the event in Bothell and nearby Woodinville.
