Emma D. Howell

–

Garden City, Idaho

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Emma D. Howell, born on May 11, 1939, in Mt Pleasant, Texas. Emma was a gentle soul, a woman of tremendous strength, and boundless love. Her life was a living testament to her favorite Bible verse, Matthew 25:40, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Emma lived this scripture daily through her dedication to serving others.

Emma D. made her home in Meridian, Idaho, where she was an active member of the Holy Apostles Church, Meridian, and St. Mary's Church, Boise. Her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) was more than a profession; it was a calling. Emma found great joy in providing compassion and care to the elderly, a role she considered a privilege. Beyond her professional achievements, Emma's true essence lay in her hobbies and how she chose to spend her time. Enjoyed hiking and playing the piano, gardening and she enjoyed the peace found in nature and the uplifting melodies of her favorite hymns. Emma was part of the Axiom fitness club, always ready to take on new challenges and adventures. Her love for reading was only second to her passion for cooking, and enjoying sharing meals and new recipes with her friends and family.

Emma D. is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Woodhouse (Orson) and Teresa Villanueva (John), and her granddaughters, Haily (Keith) Lastimosa and Emily Siapol (Elison). She was preceded in death by her parents, Sammuel and Bertha Howell, and her siblings John Howell, Cathy Sedar, and Ann Beltz. Emma's spirit, her kindness, and her unwavering love will continue to live on through her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

We invite you all to share your memories of Emma D. and upload photos to the memorial page. Emma's life was an embodiment of service, love, and faith, and we look forward to celebrating her remarkable journey with you. In the words of Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life...will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Emma D. Howell's love and legacy will forever be a part of us.
