Buhl, Idaho
Donald Dean Bishop, known to all as Don, born on November 26, 1956 in Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on September 20, 2026. Raised in Castleford, Idaho, before settling in Buhl, Idaho, Don was known by many and loved by all. Dedicated, loving, reliable, and loyal, Don embodied the spirit of his Idaho roots. Whether he was on the fields as an Agronomist/Fieldman or spending quality time with his family, he brought a level of commitment and warmth that will always be remembered.
Don was a devoted husband to his wife, Debbie, whom he married on May 16, 1978. Their love story was one of dedication and loyalty, traits that Don brought to every aspect of his life. As a loving father to Richard and a caring father-in-law to Kristy, Don was always there to provide love and support. His dedication extended to his work in agriculture where he served until his retirement in 2021, always committed to doing a good job.
Beyond his work, Don had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting with his family, camping in the beautiful Idaho wilderness, and ocean fishing trips with friends. Yet, what mattered most to Don was his family and closest friends. He was a proud grandfather to Juniper, Philip, and Kara, and a delighted great-grandfather to Atticus. His love for family extended to his siblings Brad Bishop, Connie Thatcher, and Mary Irving, who survive him, as do his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Don also had great love for all his many neices and nephews. Preceding Don in death were his parents, Brad and Hazel Bishop, and his sisters, Sharon Mulligan and Bonnie Lutz.
In memory of Don, please share your stories, pictures, and memories on his memorial page. His life was filled with love and dedication, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at Don and Debbies home on October 24th 2026 3pm. Please join us for food and sharing memories.
