Alvin Alves

–

Wilder, Idaho

With overwhelming love in our hearts, we celebrate the life of Alvin John Alves, affectionately known as Alvie. Born on March 3, 2022 in Rexburg, Idaho, Alvin radiated love, joy, and a captivating sense of humor, which left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A smart, adventurous, and loving soul, Alvin was the embodiment of kindness and genuine affection. His pure love for everyone around him was a testament to his belief in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which shaped his short but impactful life.

Alvin was an embodiment of love, a testament to his close-knit family. He cherished every moment spent playing with his siblings and cousins, watching TV with his family, and hanging out at Nana and Papa's farm. Everyone was his friend, and he was the best big brother, nurturing a special bond with each of his siblings. His love for his church friends was vast and he relished talking about Jesus. Alvin's faith was his compass, guiding him through his brief but impactful journey on this Earth.

Even though Alvin's time on earth was brief, his spirituality was profound. He held a close relationship with the Savior and often expressed his longing to see Jesus and give Him a hug. He knew his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and he desired to return to them again. With the knowledge of the gospel that we have, we know that he is happy with Jesus even though our hearts ache so much to have him here with us.

Alvin is survived by his parents, James (Bailey) Alves, his siblings, Jacob, George, and Clara, his grandparents, John (Brittney) Josoff and Adriano (Tania) Alves da Silva, great grandparents Bruce (Lenni) Bevan, and Conceição Alves da Silva, his aunts and uncles Pedro (Johana) Alves da Silva, Codie (Lacey) Key, Kodie Josoff, and Brighton (Maddie) Roskelley, his cousins Emily, Alex, Carter, and Cora, as well as many many other loved ones.
