Mary Jeannine Kruckenberg (nee Benson), 62 passed away at home of natural causes on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She was born Sunday, December 8 ,1957 in Denver, Colorado to William and Barbara Benson and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Known to her friends and family as Jeannine and as “mom” to all the local children, she positively affected everyone’s life that she met. Whether you needed advice or just a good friend to talk to Jeannine was always there to listen. She was a compassionate person who loved animals and over the years rescued many cats and dogs giving them a loving home and a happy life.
Jeannine attended Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado and later received her High School Equivalency from Pikes Peak Community College in August of 1979. She moved to Kuna, Idaho in the mid 1980’s where she settled with her entire family, to be closer to her extended family the Wardlaws. Jeannine enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking. She would often go for a drive with her family just for fun with no particular destination in mind.
Jeannine was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne Kruckenberg, great nephew Dylan and her daughter Jessica Smith. She was survived by her sister Judy Olson, her daughter Crystal Anthony, two grandsons Jeremy and Anthony and a grandchild on the way as well as nieces Megan and Carrie, great nephews Joe and Corey, and two great nieces Pyper and Stella.
Cremation services will be performed by Bella Vida Funeral Home. A celebration of Jeannine’s life will be held at Ten Mile Community Church, 4440 E Columbia Road Meridian, ID Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for friends and family to come pay their respects and tell any wonderful stories they have to share.
