Mr John Thomas Hove of Prineville Oregon passed peacefully at the age of 84 in Boise Idaho where he has been living with his daughter and son-in-law for the past year.
John was born on December 20, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to his parents Alvin Hove and Lenore Mattison. As a young man John served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and ultimately settled down in Sherwood Oregon as a carpenter by trade where he raised his family.
John is survived by his children Robert Larison, Kimberly Hove, Sheree Larison, Peggy Coffer, Jeffrey Larison, John Hove II, and Lisabeth Douglas. He is preceded in death by his lovely and caring wife Susan Hove, and his second eldest son Edward Larison.
John was a soldier, brother, husband, father and friend to everyone he met. He was generous, loving, caring, and kind to others, always giving his time and resources to help those in need. John was a man that loved God and truly cherished his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, with all his heart.

I’ve known Mr. Hove for probably 45 years and he was always such a great nice man. I’m good friends with his son Jeff and I just remember going to their house and he always being so friendly and nice. Rest in peace John you will be missed
So very sorry to hear of your Fathers passing, my sympathy to all the family. I have known John for over 64 years, he was a dear friend to my parents and me. We were so happy for John when he found Sue, my parents Glenn and Mary Stafford stood up with them when they were married. John was a very kind friend to me, like a brother. He spent many hours at our home, he loved my mom and dad and we loved him. I’m glad that John and Sue will now be together. His loving hands.
