Gerald Deane Kroenke February 15, 1957 – January 5, 2021
Gerald D. Kroenke, 63, of Boise Idaho entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in his home, unrelated to Covid. He was born February 15, 1957 in Girard, Kansas, to Melvin and Joann Kroenke. His family moved to Lansing, Kansas in 1965, where Gerald spent summers working on his
grandpa’s farm; harvesting crops and baling hay; as a teenager he loved tinkering with cars. He graduated from Lansing High School in 1975.
Gerald married Susan Benton on May 28, 1976, together they had 2 sons, Michael and James. After almost 40 years of marriage, Susan lost her battle to cancer in February He then married Judi Taylor, on June 9, 2019.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1975, trained as an aircraft mechanic at McConnell AFB in Wichita KS. Gerald transferred to the Kansas Air National Guard in 1979 and then moving to the Idaho Air National Guard in 1983, he served until 1989, where an on-the-job injury ended his career. During his 14 years he achieved the rank of Technical Sergeant (TSgt/E-6) and maintained KC-135’s and F-4’s.

Gerald enjoyed his grandchildren (Matthew & Lindsay), Astronomy, Amateur Radio, fishing, hunting and camping. He is survived by his sons: Michael (Dana, Matthew & Lindsay) Kroenke, James (Collene) Kroenke, his wife and her son, Judi and JD Fields. Also, by his mother, Joann Kroenke and siblings: David (Kathy) Kroenke, Paul (Denise) Kroenke, Marlin (Ginny)
Kroenke, Cathy (Russell) Atchison. Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Kroenke and his wife Susan Kroenke.


A Memorial Service is schedule at 2pm on February 5, 2021 at the Cloverdale Church of God;

    So sorry to hear of Gerald’s passing. I worked with his wife Susan and Gerald and Susan were very special people. We live out of State now, so we didn’t hear about Gerald’s passing until now. May the family take comfort in many wonderful memories with their parents and may God Bless them all.
