Dr John Munson passed January 5, 2018. He was retired professor at U of I
in Computer Science. He loved competing with his horses in carriage
driving events in the NW. John leaves behind his wife of (54 years) Mary
Munson, and two daughters, Anna Munson and Ericka Steel, all residents in
Middleton. John died of ALS at the age of 74. He was a published author in
Software Security and had written two books in the field. He had also
worked for NASA on the space shuttle and Mars missions He belonged to
the Unitarian Fellowship and several Humanist Groups. He was well
known and will be missed in several fields.

I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. One encouraging thought you might find comforting is found at John 5:28, 29. “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” God gives us this beautiful hope that he will soon resurrect our dead loved ones and we can see them again on a paradise earth.
