Doris Gay Collins, 63 passed away on December 4, 2015.
Gay was born to Mose and Fern Collins of Mountain Home, Idaho in 1952. As the youngest of 5 children, she was proud of her big family and loved her siblings very much. She graduated from Mountain Home High School and went on to attend Boise State University.
She was very proud of having a career outside the home long before being a career woman was the norm. She worked for various companies in Human Resources, and especially loved working with the smaller companies where the impact on the community and individuals was the greatest.
She had 2 daughters, she was very proud of the lives and families they created.
Gay could always find the humor in just about any situation and delighted in telling stories with funny twists or extreme exaggerations to get a chuckle out of her audience. She was an avid reader of just about any genre and passed her love of reading on. She loved music, especially classical music and would often blast it the way a younger person would blast rock ‘n roll.
Gay was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Sonny. She is survived by her daughters, Angela and Andrea and their husbands, 8 grandchildren whom she loved fiercely, and 2 sisters and 1 brother.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring or Summer of 2016.
