Donald Keith Archibald

Donald Keith Archibald was born to Donald W. Archibald and Mildred Nadine (Short) Archibald on April 5, 1948 and Passed away at the Boise VA Hospital on November 6, 2017, surrounded by his family.

 

Keith was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and having a good time with friends and family. He was known for his fabulous cooking of his recent “catch”.

He lived mostly in the Nampa, Idaho area, much of his life was spent with his longtime friend Gordon Pruett, who was by his side through life’s ups and downs. Many enjoyable moments spent with his close friend/brother in law Jim Brown “aka Charlie Brown”. Keith was the middle child of his family and was close to his sister Lena Velvick and brother Chris Archibald. He graduated from Nampa High school in 1967. 1968 Keith married Nikki Gowin, from this 3 children were born, Crispin Shawn Archibald (wife, Kristie), Heather Jean Greer (husband, Dave-deceased.) , Ryan Keith Archibald (wife, Charity).  Keith enlisted in the United States Army in 1968, Serving in Vietnam and receiving the Army Commendation Medal and the Purple Heart and was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars. Upon return from the service, he was employed at Robinson Honey Company, Broadmore manufacturing, Basin Land Ditch Company, and Associated Foods. In 1987 Keith and Nikki went their separate ways but remained close friends. He enjoyed his family time with his 11 grandchildren. Keith was proceeded in death by his parents, Wife Diana, Nephew Doug Pendleton and his loyal dog Dumpster.

 

Celebration of Life gathering for friends and family will be held at Sleep Inn in their meeting Room 1315 Industrial Rd. Nampa, Idaho Saturday, November 11, 2017, 1-4 pm (potluck)

    So sorry for the loss of your loved one. May you find the peace of God in the words found at John 5:28, 29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” There is hope for your loved one.
