Casey Robert Dempsey, age 23, born in Apple Valley, CA, died at his home on March 24, and joins his deceased friends and relatives in a place befitting his courage, intelligence, creativity and hyper dedication to learning about all aspects of life.
In accordance with his wishes, a ‘wake’ was held where he was honored by friends and family. We reminisced about many of Casey’s attributes, especially his wit. Ingenuity, conviction and fabulous laugh (on those occasions he really let loose).
With a size 16 shoe, “6’3” and large frame, he appeared to be a college football lineman, but his heart was more focused on being a gentle, thoughtful and, deep down, caring person. This man enjoyed a cigar, adult beverage and adding to his collection of hundreds of unique and diverse books. At the same time, he was working toward his goal of hiking from Boise to Canada. He aspired to be in a position where he could help people while still maintaining his identity of being an “individual.”
Casey means ”brave.” Son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend and lover, we will never forget you and your deeds. All of us will be together again when the time is right. Peace to your soul. Rest In Paradise.

All my prayers and support to ALL the family, friends and aquaintanaces.
Casey was my friend, we worked at Lifecare treasure valley together for a couple of years. We became good friends there. Casey was always very outgoing, and smart. he was my go to guy anytime i had a problem with computers, phone etc. as i am technology challenged. We had alot of great times together, including going to jackpot for his 21st birthday. I will miss him greatly, and his sense of adventure. R.I.P. my friend
Didn’t know him too well, but he was a good guy. fly high pal
Casey, I will miss you and I know many others will as well. These past 10 years being your friend have been fantastic. I will always remember you, you kind heart and your beautiful laugh. Everything from laughing with you in our newspaper class back in 8th grade, to talking to you about life and troubles just a few short weeks ago. I love you Casey and it saddens me to have to say condolences to your family. Goodbye Casey.
